[N4] 北海道(ほっかいどう)

What do you know about Japan’s most northern prefecture Hokkaidō? This little guide by Endo Kazuhiko introduces you to Hokkaidō’s landscapes, animals, tourist spots and famous food.

I found the grammar points and sentence structures of this text very easy to understand with an N4 reading comprehension, but the vocabulary used is more complex than what I would expect for N4.

There are many descriptions of things found in Hokkaidō and some explanations can get a bit technical. However, various pictures and explanatory graphics help with understanding what is meant.

I’ve never been to Hokkaidō but this text really made me want to go travel there! Hakodate and Sapporo sound nice as tourism spots but I would have liked more information on what to do there.
